I marveled at the architecture of Fort Santiago, imagining the stories it held within its walls. Riding a kalesa (horse-drawn carriage) was a truly unique experience, clip-clopping through the cobblestone streets.

 

Of course, no trip to Manila is complete without experiencing its modern side. I explored the towering malls of Makati, a shopper's paradise! But beyond the retail therapy, I discovered hidden gems: art galleries showcasing local talent, cozy cafes serving delicious Kapeng Barako (strong Philippine coffee), and rooftop bars offering stunning views of the cityscape.

I indulged in adobo (braised meat in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and peppercorns), sinigang (sour and savory soup), and of course, lechon (roasted pig) – a truly unforgettable feast.
